A group of friends, all singers in various choirs within their church, thought it would be fun to render music at the 2015 New Year’s Eve service. The women were invited back for other church programs. Through the encouragement of others they formally formed WOP. The WOP offer a sincere and rich musical performance that often moves the hearts and minds of their audience.
The Women of Praise loves to sing and truly desires to give an excellent praise unto the Lord. Its members, all lifelong singers, bring their diverse musical experiences spanning from gospel to classical music. The love and respect that they have for one another adds to the joy that you see when they sing!
The Women of Praise, based in Maryland, have ministered at church programs, civic and community events from the metropolitan DC area to as far north as New York. They have participated in supporting causes to educate the community on Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness. Ultimately, the Women of Praise just want to please and praise the Lord!
